Vita Herbal for rodents and rabbits, carob- 170g
Carob fruit, or St. John’s bread, is a fairly large, fleshy and hard pod. Under the dark brown cover there is sweetish pulp with several seeds. Often used as a substitute for cocoa, but unlike cocoa it does not contain caffeine and theobromine. It is a source of easily digestible carbohydrates, vitamins A, E, B1, B2, mineral salts and fibre. It has a beneficial effect on the digestive system and treats gastrointestinal disorders, can be given for diarrhoea. Can be given alone, added to basic feed or mixed with hay.
Supplementary feed material. Composition: dried St. John’s bread. Analytical components: crude protein (Kjeldahl method) min. 9.0%, crude fat min. 2.4%, crude fibre max. 13.6%, crude ash max. 9.2%, moisture max. 12%. Feeding recommendations: as a treat to supplement the main feed.
Serve as a treat to diversify the main diet. Can be given separately or mixed with hay
